NJ SQL Server User Group

A Microsoft SQL Server Database Developer who will spend the majority of their time working with Microsoft SQL Server is needed.

The successful candidate will also have the ability to work in other development roles on an as needed basis.

Requirements:

• 5+ years work experience with Microsoft SQL Server database development
• Strong Transact SQL (9/10 skill level)
• Experienced with Stored procedure creation/debugging/ optimization/tuning
• ETL (9/10) very important…generate this on the fly
• Experienced with DTS and/or Data Junction (skill 9/10 very important to leverage DTS & Datajunction to full functionality, to not only covert the data, but distribute the data into multiple tables simultaneously)
• Exposure to UDFs, Triggers and Views
• Knowledge of normalized databases and an understanding of how to normalize data
• Document and Implement Standards and Operational Procedures
• Able to support developers data retrieval needs, including reporting needs.
• Ability to maintain the database structure to support development databases
• Must work well in team and individual environments
• Must have effective written and verbal communication
• Must have ability to prioritize work (self-starter)
• An understanding of SQL-XML
• Experience in Visual Basic or .NET is a plus.
